To reach full excellence in your performance, all efforts and preparations you do to achieve physical fitness should apply to your mental fitness.  As simple as that sounds, there is actually a LOT of work that goes into that— and that’s where I come in.

Hi, I’m Dr. Cynthia L. Clarke, a Sport & Performance Psychology Consultant and I specialize in building mental fitness programs through Psychological Skills Training. I help provide all the psychological skills and tools you need to help you remove barriers that are hindering you from consistently performing at or achieving your optimal performance.

 

Psychological Skills Training involves the integration of the mental side of sport or performance to the physical skills, talents and strategic training. Psychological Skills Training is what separates good athletes and performers from the truly professional and elite in their particular field.

Why is that? Because, as both amateurs and experts will tell you, performance excellence in sports and related disciplines are largely mental. Even naturally talented athletes, artists, performers, or business leaders can reach a point where their performance peaks and they can’t seem to surpass prior goals. In every sport or performance, one’s “mental fitness” is as important as the physical effort in achieving goals.
